Michael Akpovie Olise began his football journey at Hayes and Yeading when he was around six years old. He later progressed through the youth systems of some of England’s most prestigious academies, including Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester City. Olise spent seven years with Chelsea before departing the club at the age of 14.

Reading

In July 2018, Olise joined Reading’s Academy as part of their scholarship program. He made his professional debut for the club on March 12, 2019, in a 3–0 home defeat to Leeds United. On July 15, 2019, Olise signed his first professional contract, committing to Reading for three years.
